The RPE Scale

Last night Dr Diane Cooper from True Fitness presented the first 15-minute exercise education workshop as part of the Wellness UnLAOISed programme. Diane told everyone that is is very important to be aware of exercise intensity during the exercise classes and explained the RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) scale. This is a simple tool that can help people monitor exercise intensity (see image below).

Wellness UnLAOISed is designed and delivered by True Fitness in partnership with Laois Sports Partnership and funded by Sport Ireland through the Sport Ireland Innovation Fund.
