Prime Time - Week 11

We are currently in week 11 of our 12-week 'Prime Time of Life' programme with Laois Sports Partnership. This week our nutritionist Ruth spoke to our 'Prime Time of Life' participants about 9 nutrition tips for Healthy Ageing.

The 9 nutrition tips are:

  • Eat an enjoyable and varied diet
  • Enjoy 5-7 servings of fruit & vegetables daily
  • Choose healthier fats
  • 2 servings of fish per week – 1 serving to be oily fish
  • Get enough fibre
  • Keep well hydrated
  • Reduce salt intake
  • Them bones, them bones need calcium
  • Supplement with vitamin D
