Physical Activity & Blood Pressure

Our risk of developing high blood pressure increases with age, but regular physical activity can make a big difference. If your blood pressure is already high, regular physical activity can help to reduce and control it.

Start slow and incorporate more physical activity that you enjoy into your daily routine.

Note: physical activity will cause your blood pressure to rise for a short time. For most people, this is nothing to worry about, and when you stop the activity it should quickly return to normal.
