Fundamentals of Training for Athletics Coaches

Hi Coaches, we are running a Train the Trainer course for athletics coaches starting Monday 8th October from 7-9pm in True Fitness. This course was designed by Dr Diane Cooper (BSc and PhD in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology and Health) and John Bolton (NCEFT) specifically for coaches of runners involved in sprint distances all the way up to marathon distance.

Our course covers lots of essential topics such as screening, session design for different disciplines (sprint to marathon distance), recovery strategies, sports nutrition, training for health, weight loss and peak performance, and much more. The course consists of a mixture of workshops and practical sessions delivered in a very simple and practical way, which can be applied to your beginner runners up to your advanced runners. We provide take home resources for you for each element of the course in the form of workshop notes, session plans, warm ups, cool downs and specific videos created by us for speed work, strength and conditioning sessions, drills and much more.
