Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation

Dr Diane Cooper is the coordinator of the BSc Sports Science with Exercise Physiology degree programme in Athlone Institute of Technology. Diane lectures predominantly in the area of exercise physiology and metabolism, applied exercise physiology and clinical exercise physiology. In addition to lecturing on these modules she is also an active researcher in the area of clinical exercise physiology and metabolism with a special interest in designing and delivering effective lifestyle interventions for health and weight loss. More recently she joined a metabolic research team working with the European Space Agency. Diane is also a partner in True Fitness, a sports science company based in Portarlington and Portlaoise that specialise in functional training and fitness, weight loss and health.

With twenty five years experience in management an exercise prescription, John has extensive knowledge of exercise physiology, bio-mechanics, functional movements and group training. Starting his studies in 1991, John is a qualified Level 3 Fitness Instructor, Phase IV Cardiac Rehab Instructor, Leisure Management Diploma and TRX Master Trainer. He specialises in group training, injury rehabilitation and functional assessment. John is also a partner in True Fitness, a sports science company based in Portarlington and Portlaoise that specialise in functional training and fitness, weight loss and health.
